Cristiano Ronaldo's red card against Cordoba got him suspended for two games. This is really bad for Real Madrid. Real Madrid is currently the number one team in the La Liga standings with 48 points. Barcelona is second on the standings with 47 points, which is bad news for Real Madrid because they can't lose a game if they want to stay on top, and especially now that their best player Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended. it will be very difficult for them to remain in the top.
Cristiano Ronaldo is having a difficult time outside of soccer. He recently broke up with his girlfriend Irina Shayk, a Russian Super Model. Supposedly rumours are going around that he broke up with her because she did not attend his mother's birthday, and she wasn't at his ballon d'or ceremony. So maybe Ronaldo wasn't so happy during the game which might of lead to him receiving a red card.
